We are thrilled to share some major news from the international stage – Raivo Kelomees’s documentary Luulur has been awarded the Best Feature Documentary prize at the prestigious Bloomsday Film Festival in Ireland.
Screened on 15 June at Belvedere College in Dublin, the film was part of the festival's official selection in the Joycean Features category. Dedicated to the legacy of James Joyce, the Bloomsday Film Festival focuses on the intersections of literature, film and artistic experimentation, making this accolade a particularly proud moment for us. Luulur is a portrait film about the Estonian poet and sound poet Jaan Malin, exploring sound poetry as an art form deeply rooted in Dadaism and Surrealism. The documentary weaves together Jaan Malin's life story, his performances at international events, and a creative dialogue with the legacy of his father, Ilmar Malin, and the poet Ilmar Laaban.
A huge thank you and congratulations to the entire team!
